It is not very often you get to see something new, but your chances must increase when you go somewhere new.
This is a Rufous Breasted Heron found on a boat trip on Lake Ikhema, Akagera National Park, Rwanda.

Excellent image, Ken.  Detail in the Heron is outstanding.  I also like the perch and the background.

Excellent detail in the heron and it stands out well against the background.  My only thought would be to purplish spot to the left of the bird.

Nice catch, Ken. Interesting to see that the plumage almost perfectly matches the Little Blue stateside.

Definitely new to me also Ken!  Nice capture with good detail and colors.  Maybe just a bit hot on the beak but that could be my tablet that I'm viewing with.

That is a neat bird!  Glad you saw it and took such a good image.  Great detail and color as well as a fine pose.  The OOF purple is a little distracting, but not a real problem.  Hope you saw more new birds and will share.  Thanks for sharing.
