Here's a shot from our Galveston, TX workshop.  The Stilt Sandpipers had a couple of arguments while we were photographing them and I managed to catch some action here.
Canon 5D4 500F4 1/2500 F6.3, iso 800, manual exposure, handheld.

Pretty awesome action here Nate.  Love the positions of the wings and legs, particularly on the rear bird.  Great light and background.

Nate, looks like the one on the right meant business. Took me a minute to understand the the other one's wing position. Nice interaction and great light.

With all the action going on you still managed to get excellent detail.  The light is nice and they stand out well from the background.

Really good job on the action, detail, and lighting on this one.  Although it would be nice to see a tiny bit more light on the head of the bird on the left.

Nice action capture in sweet light. There's certainly no question who is dominant.

A great pose from the bird on our right, Nate.  To me the relative poses don't work to convey this as interaction, even though I know it is.  It looks as if they're both just acting independently with no real awareness of one another.  The light is beautiful.
