Lichen on White Rock

Shot this lichen on a white rock at Glacier NP while attending a David Cobb/Zac Schnepf work shop in the fall of 2012. It's pretty busy and chaotic and the plant in the fg may compete with lichen for attention but I thought it was still worth sharing. It does look like photo art but really not much was done to it but I did give the fg plant a pretty good work-over in the NIK suite trying to get it to stand out a little more; untouched it was barely noticeable. Thanks for Looking.

This has an overall pleasing effect. I like the black and white background and the orange and green lichen.  I agree that the plant competes with the rest of the shot and I think I would have liked this more as an abstract without the plant.

I agree with Allen on this, but it still makes a very interesting abstract. Kudos for getting outside the box!
