Not a particular amazing image, I just loved the overall colour palette here with the reeds in the background complementing the plumage.

Thanks to those who viewed or commented on the previous posting.

I do like the palette in this image, Steve, and the curves of the Crane are beautiful.  I also like the closed eye in this case.  Very well done.

Very nice portrait of this sandhill crane.  The colors, the detail of the feathers and the simple clean background help to make this work.  Well done.

Thanks folks, yep 'simplicity' is key, but sometimes it evades capture crying.

Very good color and detail against a background that helps make the image much better.  A nice reflective pose.

Stephen, maybe not "amazing" but certainly quite an interesting portrait, and the detail is superb.  I particularly like how well the BG gradation coordinates with the the bird.  I wasn't aware that the eyelid looked that way.

This is a classic...gorgeous!  I love the color and detail and the way the background works with it.

Well, I think it has a very nice feel to it. Nice, soft colors, and a pleasing BG. The composition is not the usual, which makes it even more attractive. Love it way round devil, cheers, Hans
