Pipilo erythrophthalmus

This is another look at the Eastern Towhee I posted earlier. He was bouncing from tree to tree just singing away.

Nice techs on this one Matt. Was this a vertical out of camera? If not, I am a bit curious what the landscape version might look like? If you did a landscape, I am wondering what it might look like without the other branch cut off on the left (assuming that is the side you cropped off).

I prefer this t the previous version. I like the simplicity of the composition.

Kurt, this a vertical out of the camera, I cropped from the top to get it to a 4X5. No crop from the sides at all.

I was wondering if you'd trained him to perch where requested, Matt.  This is a real beauty.  The emerging leaves really convey the spring feel.  Exposure, focus and dof all seem perfect.  Well done.

This one looks great, Matt.  Shows you what a difference a perch can make... devil

I like the light in detail in this image Matt.  The background really puts this over the top.  Good job.

What a super clean look at this Towhee Matt. Nice and sharp with a flawless background. I also prefer this to the other post.

Clean, simple composition with good techs.  Not sure about the eastern, but the spotted can be difficult to get up off the ground.  Nicely done.
