Took this just as one GBH handed off nesting material to its mate. Nikon D500 and Sigma 150-600 at 1/2500, f/8 and Auto ISO 500. Cropped to about 80% of original. Richard

A little busy with all the branches but still a very nice behavioral image and this is after all, their environment.  If I were going to do anything I might clone away the one stick between the neck and body of the heron on the left.

Very nice. I don't find this busy at all - this is a nest in progress after all. The interaction betwen the birds is unobstructed.

Wonderful interaction, Richard.  It may be my laptop (but I did calibrate it recently), but to me it looks like the b lue fronm the sky leaked into the rest of the image and gave you a color cast.  A lovely image and composition.

This seems perfect to me as is.  I love the nest and the twigs and leaves.

Thanks to all for your comments. Dennis, I recently calibrated my monitor as well and I'm not seeing a cast. A quick eyedropper check of a neutral spot showed all three channels within half a point of each other. Richard

I love that you got one giving the twig to the other. Very unusual and lovely.  I did not see a color cast here. One thing ; I do wonder if there is a way to clone out that branch that is touching the frame at the top.  If not to eliminate it, then to shorten it somehow.

Best
