This Wood duck drake was one of five or so at a local regional park in Anaheim Hills. Canon 60D, f11, 1/800 sec, iso 500, -1 EV, 100-400 ISL at 400 mm, HH, 80% of original size. Thanks for looking and for your thoughts.

A fine bird, Ed, with all its spectacular colors. The technical details are well executed and altogether make a really attractive setting.

I love woody's Ed and you captured this one well. The detail looks pretty good. The blue reflection in the water from the sky seems a little strong to me and takes away from the duck. You may want to look at toning the blue channel down some and see if it improves or not. Cool shot!

Excellent, Ed.  You really nailed the colors and the bg water is as gorgeous as the wood duck.

Beautiful birds but terribly difficult to expose, especially in strong light. There's some loss of detail in the whites and the blacks, the classic challenge with this species. But it's a very good photo otherwise.

There are an incredible amount of colors in this Wood Duck, and they are beautiful.
