Snowy Flight

I have lots of flight shots of Snowy Egrets, but none that show off the crest like this one. Normally, the crest is blended in with the back of the egret. He looks like a giant, white woodpecker. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2017) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

That is a very unique pose for a snowy.  Nice wings down.  I think the whites need to come down as there is very little feather detail showing in the plumage.

Nice composition and background. I agree with Keith's comments also.

Nice shot Jerry. That crest is amazing. I guess I never really realized they had such a pronounce crest. Nice work with crisp, sharp detail, good treatment of the very bright whites and good BG to balance it off.

That crest is very cool, who knew! Really nice comp and background on this. I like the wings down and a great view of those yellow feet. Your analogy of a "giant white woodpecker" fits! Cool capture!

That's really cool, Jerry.  Gives it the look opf a pileated woodpecker.

At the risk of disagreeing with the Moderator, I think the whites are spot-on. Very good flight shot with the bonus of the crest very nicely shown.

Beautiful sharpness, and he does indeed look like a giant white woodpecker!

This looks almost prehistoric.  Nice flight shot.
