Taken from a moving boat somewhere in Frederick Sound Alaska. I liked the colors, layers and of course the moon. Olympus E-M1 and 40-150 lens at 1/800, f/8 and ISO 640. Richard

Richard,
I swear I'm having memory issues this morning. Didn't you post this earlier? If I recall, I think the pink/purples in the mountains were a little stronger than here? No matter, but I get to comment and say that this is a wonderful image? The timing and opportunity came together in capturing this moment.
The moon is a bit soft, which is understandable given the conditions and dof, so a tack-sharp image of the moon isn't expected really. The only small nit I have is that the blue sky is a bit noisy. I think that shouldn't be too hard to smooth out. But I'm really enjoying the colors throughout.
Quite a breath-taking sight, captured beautifully.

Beautiful warm light and quite a dramatic moon to sweeten the scene. Nice!

Everything came together nicely in this image -- the nice snow, warm light on the mountains, and the beautiful full moon just over the ridge. I also like the subtle warm and cool colors.

Richard, a great catch, with lots of interesting details in the foreground and some fine gentle sunset colors on the ridges, set against that monster of a moon.

I love the layers in this image, Richard. The moon adds a very nice element. If you print this, I would make a pass through noise reduction, but it is very nice as is.

Lovely composition, and a very dramatic scene. I agree with Lon about the softness of the moon and the bit of noise. Also, the blu/cyan above the trees is a little too intense, and could be dialed back. The light is wonderful.

Hi Richard,
This image is really nice, and I love the depth created by the foreground coniferous trees. The next layer is the sweet light on the middle ground, and you have the peaks and moon to complete the image beautifully. Some wonderful work compositionally.
I like the idea to reduce the noise in the sky, and I use define from the NIK collection to selectively select the sky.
Great image overall :)
