The mountains and weather of the Pacific Northwest, along the Hoh River, near the Hoh Rainforest. The scene was constantly changing with the wind, clouds, and light.

Chris,

This works beautifully, a fitting and terrific scene to go b&w; emphasizing the drama of the fog and the graphics.  No nits to be critical of.  I am wondering about playing with the tones of the foreground vegetation.  I'm wondering if you could selective darken the tones?  It's not a burn/dodge thing, but being light toned I'm not sure if that's pulling the eye down, or if it's working just fine framing the scene.  Just thinkin' out loud.

Lovely look at the clouds, with lots of tones and texture. I like the foreground, as it seems to be a shallow bowl to hold the mountains and clouds. I'd like to know how you processed this. Thanks.

Love the light and shade contrasts. Not the slightest nit from me!

Great clouds and mood. And my first thought before reading the comments was the same as what Lon was wondering, the foreground brush seems a bit bright for the rest of the scene? Minor stuff, nice image.

I like the drama in this. I agree with comments about the tonality of the foreground bushes. I do like the bands of alternating light and dark tones.

Very nice b&w image, Chris. I like this comp and what wonderful conditions you found and captured here. Very cool.

Beautiful work, Chris. It reminded me of AA's images of Sonoma. Incredible sharpness in the large version.

Love all the clouds, Chris.  Going b&w really shows off their drama.  I too am wondering about darkening the foreground vegetation.

Excellent, Chris! Very dynamic image with lot's of interest. Minor stuff but agree with comments on toning down the immediate foreground layer.

This is very nice, Chris.  The tonal range and the interplay between light and shadow work well in the B&W presentation.  My eye keeps moving through the composition.  Great work!
