Fall of Light

Taken in Delamere forest, Cheshire.  The forest is of mixed deciduous trees and evergreens.  Here i liked the way the misty autumn light seemed to trickle down the rise and through the birches.

Canon 400D, 18-55 @ 42, 0.6 secs @ f22, ISO 200

Ian, I really appreciate the juxtaposition of the cooler shades in the foreground with the warmer ones in the distance. This way you lead me nicely into the depth and I can feel the autumn atmosphere.

You have captured a wonderful scene here. I like how the sunlight catches on the distant leaves. I might increase saturation on the brown foliage to see what it does.

I like this very much, Ian. It has that spiritual quality that some of the better woodland images have. The light penetrating through the foliage behind a 'fence' of trees gives it that sense. The dark fg brush forms a nice lead-in into the subject yet does not intrude on it due to it's darkness. This really well done. I have no suggestions. Great job.

This is very enjoyable to visually explore and relish in the beauty.  Please keep in mind I'm on an uncalibrated work monitor but I might consider boosting contrast a bit to delineate the difference between the light and dark area more.  You handled the exposure here in an excellent manner. Well done.

I like the somewhat dark, mysterious, and magical light, Ian. Conveys the feeling of a deep and and dark woods being permeated by the light. Like a Thomas Kincaid painting.

I really like the color and peaceful feeling of this image. It almost has a mystical quality about it. Very artistic.
