Bluethroat Singing
by Ken Archer
Here's one of my favorite photos from last years photo tour on the Seward Peninsula near Nome, Alaska. This beautiful male bluethroat migrated from Asia across the Bering Sea to this Alaskan sub-arctic environment to sing and perform his incredible courtship flight display. I'm getting excited about our trip this year in early June and am eagerly looking forward to hearing the unique song of the bluethroat again.

A great shot with soft, but bright lighting. The streaks of rain are perfect for the harsh habitat where this bird lives...............Jim
