This is the mate of my previous post. (Thanks for the comments.) I'm pleased with the detail and the background (a brown field), though the pose is a bit static and I like the head turn on the male.

A very nice portrait of one of my favorite birds. My only suggestion would be to use the Shadows/Highlights tool in Photoshop to selectively pull down the bright spots in the post.

I do prefer the shot of the male, Allen, but this is still a nice image of the female.
