Pyrrhuloxia Take Off

Here's a male Pyrrhuloxia taking off from it's perch photographed at Santa Clara Ranch, Texas during last month's workshop.  There is a feeding cup underneath the perch.

Cool take-off shot, Nate.  I like the way the debris is shaken off the perch.  Very nice.

Very impressive and beautiful image Nate.  Love the simplicity and grace.  The wings could have been in a better position, but still excellent as posted.

Love it as posted Nate! The pollen shaken off the perch adds a lot to an already cool take-off shot. I like the wing position and the way the crest is blowing in the breeze!  devil

I really like the wing position, as it's "outside the box" from other photos I've seen. The stuff flying off the perch is seriously cool. This species is definitely on my bucket list to photograph. I wouldn't change a thing. I wish this one was in my collection! devil
