Swift fox 719

Taken several years ago at the North American Wildlife Center in Colorado, which is no longer in operation.  Several of these small foxes lived at the center, along with other native wildlife.

Taken with a Mamiyaflex 220.  No other data recorded.  Scan from transparency.

Well that's an elusive canine to add to your files, John! Very nice, natural portrait here...great use of flash (or at least it looks like one was used, but with perfect effect IMO). I still think I had one of these cross the road here in SW Alberta 5 years ago during a winter storm. Have looked in that area perhaps hundreds of times since to no avail. Special species for sure, and a great shot for your collection.

A nice looking little fox, John.  Based on the color tones I'm guessing it was taken in low light.  A classic comp and a good exposure but it appears just a little soft.  Maybe a little extra sharpening to bring out the details in the fur would help.

You caught a fine pose here, John.  The larger view shows excellent detail in the fox.  Your scan looks good, with the fox showing much better in the larger view.
