This one was from Laguna Atascosa NWR on the south Texas coast.  I really liked this more animated pose and the yucca perch.

7D2, 300mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, beanbag on truck window, f/5.6, 1/1600, iso 400, aperture priority, center weighted average metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 10.8 Mpixels.  Taken at 5:26 pm on February 26th, 2015.

I really appreciate the comments on the previous post and look forward to your imput on this one.

Thanks,

Nice pose indeeed Dennnis, the yucca makes the images for me ! Makes the bird looks much smaller than it is ! Cheers, Hans

Dennis,

usually, and probably like many others, I would have prefered a less busy background but in this case for a reason I cannot express the setup looks very nice. Probably because the pose of the bird creates an imaginary line opposite to the direction of the yucca leaves.
