Giant Anteater

I was thrilled to see and photograph a Giant Anteater on our Brazil tour, this is an animal that I have wanted to see in the wild since I was a little kid.  We were lucky to get one out in the open in nice light by the roadside when traveling from one lodge to the next.  I thought the pano crop suited his shape well.

That is one odd looking creature. Never knew that they had a tail like that.  Nice capture!

Hello Nate,  ... Well done to capture a moment , to remember!  Interesting looking guy!

Like its positioning and movement!  Clear and sharp too!   Odd looking with the long snout and smaller eye.

Thanks for sharing

Nate: a very good shot which shows excellent detail in the animal. My only suggestion would be to add a bit of contrast as the image looks a bit flat on my monitor. Richard

Hi Nate,

Good image of an unusual creature. It is nice to see pangolins and anteaters on a single screen shot of NPN.  A touch more contrast should help show off this guy better.....................................Jim

Nate,

What a great experience to see one of these in the wild, I remember them from the days of Zoo Quest with David Attenborough.

In all honesty I cannot remember ever seeing one of these posted anywhere before.

I agree on the contrast suggestions
