I've posted this Inca Dove pair before, same perch too I believe.. so bear with me.

You can't see it here, but the nearest dove has a broken foot. I observed it earlier completely inverted/broken.

In this image, one is comforting the other in their time of need..

F/6.3, 1/320th, ISO 640, 5DM2, 300mm f/2.8 + 2x ext @ 6:13pm & cloudy/overcast.

Even without the backstory provided, this would be a touching image. Besides being technically excellent, it conveys emotion. And isn't that what images should do. A real winner here.
