Star Chain

A bit of an experiment - shooting Spring starflowers with the morning sun behnd them.  These flowers cluster very randomly and gernerally lean together in the breeze, but this small bunch seemed to form a pleasing chain across the grass..  I guess this looks best in the large version.

The back light worked very well here. I like your composition. Beautiful!

The fairly high angle light works well in this case. At first I though that the empty green patch was too big, but on the large version I don't have a problem - the composition works too!

Delightful spring image, Ian. I like the color lavendar/green color combination, and the light, airy feel. Nicely balanced comp, too.

Ian - I like the kind of implied semi-circle here and the somewhat meaningful orientation of the blooms. Well seen and I think you used the right DOF here.
