This is on Table Mountain in the Sierra foothills near Chico. Shot on 3/17/15. D800e, 80-200 2.8, f18, 1/250, ISO 500. Would be thankful for any feedback on this.

This really has to been seen large to be fully appreciated. Your composition is very nice and the blue/green colorful is wonderful. Looks a bit over sharpened on my monitor - I would like to see if anyone else thinks that.

It's hard to get a good landscape shot at Table Mountain, in my experience, but this shows well the amazing wildflower display and the volcanic rock of the area. It looks like it was taken in the bright light of day, but I love the swirls of lupine and the volcanic rock with trees as a focal point.

The blues and greens are phenominal, Jim. The yellows aren't bad either. Nice work on this, I love it.

Love the carpet of color Jim, and yes, the larger image has to be viewed. My first very first impression was that the image was grainy (maybe due to the size of the flowers) this might be the same as Bill's comment on the sharpness. There is a lot to work with in this scenic...the lava mounds, the hillside diagonal lines, the Oaks in the drainage, the background patterns...maybe too much? Would love to see is softened to provide an impressionistic view.

Great colors in this Jim and a very nice abstract feel to the overall scene. The large version looks really nice but seems maybe a touch over sharpened. A beautiful scene that's well put together.

Jim, this is a great real abstract. The colors and shapes are spread so well throughout the frame. Very well seen.

Sweet! The composition feels balanced and the colors are wonderful. It does seem a bit over sharpened to my eye.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I agree, it is a bit oversharpened. I think also, the nature of the image gives it even more of this appearance, with the very small multi-toned rocks and flowers. Maybe some CA also with this lens at F18.
