I know that star trails are not every ones bag, but it is fun to experiment. The colors are from the lights of Scottsbluff/Gering in the distance. Thanks for you comments and critiques.

Go, Richard! What an interesting take on this. I like the hint of light on texture on the bluff instead of it being a total silhouette.

This is very nice. I'm not a fan of star trails but this is really well done. The proportion of land vs sky is optimal and the fact that the entire circle is being included is really good. But the best part is the color scheme you have chosen. That works really well for you. Don't know what to suggest. Perhaps a bit of sharpening in the dark bottom area to add a little more definition.

Very nice.

Your star photography is coming along nicely, Richard. I love the level of detail and the absence of noise due to stacked images. Really impressive. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Richard, That is a pretty cool effect! Looks like I'm looking into a tunnel. I too like the bit of light on the bluff and what it adds to the image. I'm not a fan of star trails but this one really does work nice! I think your efforts really make this one shine! :toast:

A very nice job in putting this all together and the light on the bluff and colors work very well together. Beautifully done.

The large version does it for me. The circular trails have a mesmerizing, hypnotic effect that just do it. The color also works. Yes, maybe not the most innovative, but technically well pulled off (i could not) and effectively realized.

Wonderful image Richard! Really feels primal. Love the light on the bluff and in the sky. The star trails are awesome!

Very neat stuff. The illumination on the rock is spot on and makes a big difference. Good job!

The star trails really suit the subject. I'm fine with the colours but I would experiment with a range of colour balances.
