Such a beautiful scene! I absolutely love those mossy forests (who doesn't....??). The word primordial comes to mind when seeing this.

I really like it - for me the very dark forest in the background is the perfect and balances the creek and moss very well.

I like the rich greens on the rocks and your choice of shutter speed to blur the water.

For me, the thing that draws me in is the flow of the water, I personally think the shutter speed is perfect, beautiful shot Tom, love it :toast:

Very pretty scene. I like the textures. If feels a bit under-saturated to me. That's always a personal thing but more saturation would separate the mosses from the rocks better IMO.

Indeed the moss is a bit flat as it is frozen when I took this photo, warmer and lusher time period would probably yield the proper tonal range in the mosses. I might experiment with the saturation, but not sure how the moss will respond.

Thanks for the comments! Tom

A fine forest scene. I find that the rocks and water closer to us is more interesting than the trees and ferns further back. The fallen brown log on the left really stands out. The shutter speed is perfect and for this reason the interplay between water and moss in the heart of the image. I would have created a composition of the lower half of the image.

There is also a problem in fuzziness. That moss needs more sharpening to be fully appreciated.

I like this, Tom. Seeing the source of the this cascade tells a nice story of the Northwest forest. SS is right on and sweet detail throughout.

I like this too. Nice shutter speed and I like the contrast between the water and moss covered rocks. The background trees work well for me. They do appear a little soft but I'm ok with that because the image just has a nice overall feel to me.

A very nice scene Tom with some nice details and the water looks very nice. The soft back round looks fine as it holds attention to the falls in front. I could see a little more green saturation and a little less yellow but that's just me. Nicely done.

Be sure to view the large image, less yellow and more saturated. I should have mentioned this at the begining.

I think I prefer this more expansive view than the more recent version which by comparison was a bit more messy at the edges of the frames.
