Two Giant Swallowtails in pursuit of the female, from last year..
Managed to get all three in focus, two in flight.

The dark background is a shadowed area beneath our pecan tree.
F/11, 1/1250th, ISO 1250, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x, no flash @ 12:35pm. Clear/sunny.

I was looking through my files of butterflies too, but only could find one with 1 1/2 Monarchs, so nice grab on this one Howard. Great sharpness and background too. Could almost be a time-lapse; did you choreograph the butterflies?

Ah yes, your "dancing" Giant Swallowtails, Howard. Definitely an outstanding action catch. Good to see a post from you.

That is indeed an amazing feat you accomplished getting all three in focus.

This is fantastic action and colors are spot on. Large size is a must see.

Really nice Howard, as usual.
