Taken last December while kayaking in a local pond. There was a road in the background, so tried to compose with the least amount of that showing. Sony a77II, ISO 1250, 1/1000, f/6.7, 450mm equiv. Adjusted brightness, contrast, and sharpness in post. Comments and suggestions always welcome and thanks for viewing.

Fine catch on the take-off action Jim. I like the wing positions, all the splashing, and the oof reflections in the foreground. I do wish the top bird's wing tip was included, but I do understand the challenges as I'm out working on bird action shots this week (and not doing very well so far :biggrin: ).

Yes, I too understand the challenge of shooting from a kayak. You really have an action packed shot here, I can just hear the splashing.
