I thought this was a good candidate for this week's Weekly Challenge. I managed to get both relatively sharp. The object to the right is a tree. Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014. Comments and critiques welcome.

Canon 7D Mark II
Canon 200-400 f4 L IS
f7.1
1/2500s
ISO400
Focal Length 461mm (Teleconverter Engaged)

Terrific catch on the Mallard pair in synchronized flight. This is a great catch on the two ducks. Given the clean blue sky background, cloning out that oof tree seems like a fine solution. Yes, the male is just a hair soft, but it wouldn't be noticeable if she weren't so sharp. My suggestion is to do some subtle local contrast increases on him using TK's masks. I think that would disguise the slight decrease in sharpness. I expect that the majority of the general public wouldn't notice the sharpness change between him and her, but a bit more processing would hide that further. If you want more info, shoot me an email.
