Gunlock Glory
by gary phillips
An amazing evening at Gunlock State Park in southern Utah. Only a few miles from my home and a new favorite place to explore. A bit more colorful than I usually display, but too nice not to share.

I like this a lot! Great color and dynamic range. I like the land spit leading me in. The contrast looks perfect.

This lake has the appearance of part of a reservoir from the shoreline. Great composition and again brings forth the most important and essential element of photography, being there!

Yes, I too prefer less saturated colours, but here this robust saturation works well, and the subtleness of transitions is preserved.
All the best,

Gorgeous sunset...
Lovely light and color. I'm a little on the fence about the foreground rocks. On one hand they do provide a leading line; on the other hand, I think I'd rather see more of that lovely reflection. I haven't read other comments yet so I'll be interested to see how others respond.
Gary, this is gorgeous. And, to think this site is so close to your home also. Can't beat that for all-around photo opportunities leading into the future.
Love the colorful cloud cover and the jetty or peninsula leads right out to the middle of the scene. Out of all of your images posted so far, this to me has to be at the top of the list of excellence overall. Wonderful job.
Glorious frame filling colors Gary, wow man
Very interesting comp, just 'point' me in the right direction & I'm good to go
Excellent!
