This is a recent image I obtained of an ascending female Bluebird. She had been down on the ground and was flying up to a nearby tree.
Comments, and suggestions are appreciated.

D7100, Nikkor 70-300mm WR @ 240mm, ISO 250, f/5.6, 1/8000 sec.

Man, you nailed this one. I'm surprised you were able to freeze the motion at only 1/800s. Nice action and I love the wing feather detail.

Hi Jerry, Thank you sir! Sorry about the shutter speed typo. It was at 1/8000 second. I corrected it.

The capture of the blue bird is very cool, unfortunately the BG noise in the large version is quite distracting. Was this a substantial crop?

Hi Charles,

Get that noise corrected and the image will be at its best. The bluebird is nice and sharp and positioned perfectly for the composition. Lovely color too :wavey: .......Jim

Stunning capture Charles. I would, as has already been noted, run some NR on a background layer.

Charles,
Great catch. Agree with the others regarding the noise. Did you have room to add space to the left of the bird? While not as detailed, the composition might be pleasing. :toast:
