With all of the winter shots on NPN lately, it seems wrong to post anything but  This is about as macro as I usually get and certainly colder than I prefer. Taken last March on a snowshoe campout of a tiny, 2" deep puddle of water that froze overnight.

Canon T1i, f/18, 1/6 sec, ISO-100, 90mm, tripod.

Beautiful composition Dave - the flowing curved lines draw you into the center of what looks (to me) like a tunnel, on the center right. The colors also work very well, in my view. :toast:

Excellent, Dave. I like the many concentric curving lines. Good detail and color. No nits from me. :toast:

I like the warm colors beneath the ice. Excellent abstract with interesting patterns and textures. Nicely seen

Hi Dave,

I like this image because of the textures in the ice and some of the warmer colors in the bg sweeping in from the left. Well done :toast: ............Jim

Beautifully composed, Dave, with a very attractive bluish tonality. Getting in a view of the ground beneath the ice gives a pleasing depth to the image.

You've got some great swirls in the ice here Dave. All the little frozen air bubbles and the occasional view through to the leaves below add extra interest. Well seen.
