Common Ravens

I spent last week in Yellowstone. It was a bit slow on the wildlife front, unseasonably warm and not as much snow on the ground as I'd hoped. Still, the occasional photo opportunities did arise. This is a fairly common subject in winter, but I really liked the composition potential here, especially with a nice blue backdrop. Sometimes the simplest things come together and work out nicely for us.

Canon 1DX
Canon 500mm f/4 IS
ISO 200

f/9

I like what you are trying in this image. But, for me the lower branches blend into the sky too much, loosing some punch. Would like to have seen a larger image. Thanks for sharing.

I have an image almost exactly like this I took in Grand Teton on a slow day. Nice capture. I kind of liked mine also.

Like you Max, I really like the comp on this. This is a very nice wall hanger IMO.
