East Zion

This is another attempt to manually merge multiple images. Two images were merged, one for the foreground, one for the background and sky.

The blend works very well, providing a real good perspective and sharp focus. Cool details and color in the foreground.

Zion sure does present many of those images that are hard to capture in one exposure. This looks great, Jim. Love the water pots and if I'm not mistaken there is a slot canyon further up this canyon. Very nice.

This is an area of Zion that I need to spend some time exploring. Your blend looks really good, Jim. The watering holes make a nice leading line to the far butte which has nice light.

Like the comp a lot and the blend looks good. I wonder though whether you've done a tad too much burning on the bright parts of the BG mountain. The whites in the top half of the mountain look a little muddy gray on my monitor and seem like they should be brighter based on the lower half.

Jim,

Nice comp and the merge looks good to me as posted. I like the sharp detail in the fg particularly.

Jim, You came up with an excellent comp here and I like the colors in this very much. I think you made a wonderful photograph here because it just feels good looking at it!

I like the way that you have arranged the potholes in the foreground. Your blend looks natural to my eye. Nicely done!!

You have given me some more inspiration to try more blending Jim because this image looks great. The comp is solid with the potholes leading you through the image, and you have the wonderful colors and light to keep you in the image.

Great shot
