Matterhorn Delight

Last weekend I spent a 3-day backpacking-trip around the iconic Matterhorn in Switzerland with fellow swiss landscape and nature photograper Martin Maegli. We spend three great days in the mountains and made some new friends with a group of photographers from rumania at Stellisee. Here's a first image from that trip. It's not easy to come up with something new from this location with the Matterhorn.

A very different view than any I've seen Bill and beautiful rays and sunstars. And a very nice comp as well. Beautifully done.

Fantastic light Bill. Love the double sunstar and crystal clear reflection. The back lit leaves top off the wonderful scene.

You had threatened to go to Stellisee and shoot the Matterhorn in a comment last winter. WOW, the wait was definitely worthwhile. Sure to like the sunburst, the colors in the trees and the great reflections. Very well done, Roland.
