Havoc Repost

I posted this image last winter of Havoc, my Bernese mountain dog. He's outweighed by all of our Newf's, but is the clown of the bunch. He is a corner when we play football and he sticks to the ball carrier like glue. There's a reason why he is called Havoc--he can change our world from peace and quiet to pure chaos. And I like that, he's a lot of fun! One of the viewers of the original post commented that the shadows were very blue. So I went to work and used a Hue Saturation Layer and reduced the saturation of the cyan component in the shadows on the snow. K5 IIs, 300mm f4...........................Jim

A beautiful dog with an intense stare and a great portrait of him, Jim! I haven't seen the other version but the colors are superb in this one. A very nice shot!

The dog looks great against the snow and colors look spot on. Real nice dog portrait.

This looks terrific, Jim, fine subtle tones in all of the whites and the blacks plus Havoc's "ready to go" spirit showing well in his pose and expression.

Beautiful Jim. Bernese are one of my faves and this guy is right up there. Good job processing the snow. Love the story how Havoc lives up to his name too

OK, Jim, you have got to have some of the best-looking dogs I've seen all under one roof (or at least all sharing the same last name...might get a little crowded under the same roof at your place!). Havoc is absolutely STUNNING and man did you capture him perfectly in this image. The colour and cotrast within the dog's coat is superb, never mind a perfect job with the snow. This is a fantastic portrait of a beautiful Bernese.
