Sisters in the Moonlight

These are the Three Sisters, the most prominent and oft photographed mountains near Canmore AB. I captured some images from this location back in March but wasn't quite satisfied with the outcome. This was taken last week as the moon was rising, not long before sunset. To me the presence of the moon gives this image that little extra point of interest to make the picture complete. Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.

This works really well as a B&W. I like the composition a lot.

This looks great to me, Cary. The tones look spot-on and I really like the light and the composition.

Well done!

Beautiful image, Carey. The range of tones and details are superb, particularly in the large version. This also has a wonderful crispness to it.

No nits Carey! Great tonal range, and the moon really does add that something extra. Well done!

Super B/W, Carey. The moon is certainly icing but I think this could stand up without it, it's that good. Love the foreground light and the dark sweep of the mid ridge. Beautiful. :toast:

Very lovely image and I like how B&W separate the elements so well.

Beautiful scene and a very nice comp with great tones in it Carey. Nice job on the B&W processing also. A very small nit would be to darken that one patch of grass LL slightly as it pulls my eyes. But a minor thing. Very well done.
