Here's the close-up.

I generally don't post many images of the same flower. Though, I do take them. Glad to share. Hope I'm not boring everyone with this set of Gladiolus.

D800 60mm macro 0.5 sec @ f/22

Thanks for all your comments on the previous versions. I appreciate it.

Sanjay

Sanjay - Wonderful again. Awesome details on this one -> specially like the crepe like texture on the petals and the greenish yellows which are coming through nicely because of the strong light. Large version is a must see. I am sure D800 also plays some role in this.

Goes well with the others, Sanjay. Hard to pick a favorite. I love the depth and detail which you used and obtained against the high-key bg, and the colors are gorgeous. :toast:

This is a gorgeous image, Sanjay, with wonderful light and colour. It is beautifully composed, too, and the fading of the petal edges into the bg is pure delight !!

Really beautiful Sunjay. I love the petals made transparent by the back light. The great amount of light, the low saturation of the colors and the lowered light contrast create splendid pastel colors and a pictorial look. Excellent.
Take care.

Very fine, Sanjay. The high key approach really lets the centers of the flowers be the center of attention. I like the contrast from the touches of green stem top and bottom.

Sanjay: I like how you have worked this subject and especially like the high key on this one. My only suggestion would be to crop a tiny bit more from the top. Superb image. >=))>

These images are quite lovely. I was wondering , if you placed them against a white backdrop or, if you cut and pasted them onto a white BG???

What impresses me most is the illusion of translucence and the gradation of hue. Stunning.
