A scene I came upon while hiking the Damnation Creek Trail a few weeks ago. C&C always welcome...

I like this very much, Joe, and it is especially enjoyable looking at the large version. Wonderful mood. Nice work!

Classic. I like the sense of being in a natural cathedral here.

This is my favorite one yet of the Redwoods trip.
The fog is about perfect, strong comp with the trunks and just a few Rhodies for color.
Well done.

Joe, I think this is the best of your redwood forest images, so far. You did a nice job handling the 'busy-ness', and the fog looks just right. One suggestion: Clone out the group of Rhodie leaves on the right edge just above the fern. Other than that, I think the works nicely.

Thank you guys for your comments.

Bruce, I'm well aware of your "clutterphobia"...

Preston, I've actually contemplated doing so. Here you go...

I know this trail, it was one of my favourites among the redwood trails. The low perspective conveys the scale very well. I also like the rhodie framing at the bottom.

I like a lot this composition: the giants as body guards of the flowers in the fg. Nice mixed of colours.

I've never seen this country Joseph and this image really makes me want to. Superb work for my tastes. No suggestions.

Love the strong verticals of the trees rising abruptly from the green of the rhodies. A real sense of the majesty of this forest. Outstanding, Joe.

Very nice, Joe. I agree that this is the best of the series, all good, but this one has real presence. The fog adds the perfect mood. Beautiful.
