This is another from my 2011 files in Devil's Garden. It's amazing how some of these can thrive under such unlikely circumstances. I would be interested to know how old this juniper(?) is. Full frame, larger image included.

Classic So. Utah scene...
I love the minimalist comp and the small delicate flowers.
Very nice.

I like this, Bill. I do have a couple of suggestions...

There appears to be a bit too much blue/cyan in the greys and whites. Second, that bit of dark matter near the bottom edge catches my eye. Third, I suggest a crop from the top so that the tree, which is the star of the show, is the more dominant element.

I like the color and textures, and the flowers are nice bonus.

Nicely done,

i like this, Bill. The solitary juniper is a testament to the determination of these desert species. I agree with Preston about the cyan in the greys, but I do like how they stand out against the red sand and sandstone. If it were mine I might pump up the reds just a little. Nicely seen.

I like this a lot. It gives a great feel for the red rock country and the amazing places plants survive. I like Preston's ideas about the crop and the cyan, but minor stuff. Real nice image.
