A close up shot of a Crocodile basking on the Chobe River. This image was shot from a specialized photographic boat that gives the chance of capturing great low angle images.

The low angle is great, and it's good to see that you didn't have to deal with too much interference from the grass. Nice complementary tones between the water and the croc too.

One of teh better image of crocodiles I've seen. The low perspective makes it for me.

That's a great angle alright, Mario. Beautiful light and you caught a nice moment with the jaws spread perfectly.

Impressive image. The low angle, terrific light and those teeth really make this image.

Hi Mario,

Lots to like in this image! Not sure what my favourite part is - love the low angle (of course), but thinking the stunning whiteness of the teeth (contrasting nicely off the darker tones in the image) just MIGHT be what does it for me. Techs are really solid - including your near perfect DoF. Well done!

Of course, I DO want everything, so have to say that I wish the grasses BEHIND the croc (those ones visible through the gaping mouth) weren't there as I do find them just a bit distracting. I know this is definitely one of those "in a perfect world" things and I'm in no way criticizing anything YOU did in this shot.

thanks for sharing this...
