Sandy,
Wonderful image, love the fact that you have two different head angles :toast:

Hi Sandy,

Nice harmonious colour palette here. Looks like these two have just finished dining on something (the blood is much more visible in the larger version). While the crop does match the subject matter nicely, almost wishing here for more space above the cheetahs to help give the image more depth (but that's being said with me having no clue what's back there...and perhaps there are distractions, etc. that would prevent this).

Cheers...thanks for sharing...

Beautiful cheetahs Sandy. they are both posing very well for you. For me the crop is a bit tight, not really showing much of the habitat, but still a lovely image. :toast:

Sorry about the crop. Sadly, as you might have guessed, there were multiple trucks and cars vehicles all trying to get close to these guys. A larger crop, especially on top, would have required this to be in Man and Nature" ! grr...

I'm so glad you got to visit this place, Sandy, one of my favourite spots in Africa...
Did you do a self-drive trip or did you go with a safari operator?
Lovely image.

We designed the trip ourselves, and simply rented a little bakke. (Drove 5200 miles in the 6 weeks) .
Jim has been to Africa so many times and is so familiar with it, we preferred to do it ourselves. That way, we went where we wanted, stayed as long as we wanted with a bird or animal, and could self-cater or use the lodge restaurants. We did go out on a few "game drives" when we stayed at places that offered them, but Jim was usually the one who saw the animals first. It was really ideal for us. Jim (a retired University professor of Biology and Environmental Sciences) is an excellent spotter, identifier, personal driver, and Sherpa!
We're just not fond of being with a bunch of tourists when photographing, and enjoyed our "alone" time immensely.
