When I purchased my macro lens, I went around the yard looking for things to practice on. I had never realized the intricacy and beauty of clover in this way before - had pretty much considered it a weed....

It's a bonus when photography changes a perspective like that.

Lovely look at this red clover, Karen. Your dof choice works very well and the water drops are a fine added bonus. I'm guessing that you're using the Canon 100mm macro, which is a workhorse for me.

Yes, that's what I love about macro photography. . .it exposes you to a whole new world that is seldom noticed. Good DOF choice and where you chose to have your focal point. I like the little hairs visible along the leaf edgles and the addition of the wonderful waterdrops. My only thought would be to try to darken the brighter areas in the background just a bit. Very nicely done macro image, Karen.

Nice image with good sharpness and DOF.

I agree with your comment about how a macro lens changes our perspective.

This is very nice, Karen. I didn't know clover leaves had those little hairs. My favorite photos are those that find beauty in everyday things; well done.

Very nice soft light, details, & colors Karen!
Excellent use of F/10 and plane of focus, with that leading leaf drawing your eye in.
Your remarks remind me of when I hit the macro selection on my first P&S..
It opened my eyes to the world around me.:smile
Well done! :toast: :
