Some really dramatic light on the Isle of Skye in Scotland shortly after sunrise. A wonderful mix of light cloud and of course rain. Captured during our recent autumn Scotland Tour.

You really had some dramatic light. If this were mine I would consider cropping a bit off of the sky. But beautiful landscape as is

Gorgeous beams Peter! Reminds me of the skies I see out here in the PNW sometimes. Similar weather I guess!

I agree with Bill about a crop of some of the dark sky at the top. Works as is though!

Peter, That is some wonderful light! I love those rays! I also like the crop suggestion of some of the sky as Bill mentioned.

Beautiful light but I also like the dark undulations and tones of the hills. I like this very much. I also like the suggestion of a crop in the sky but would be hesitant to change the aspect ratio. So...

that's a gorgeous band of light - i only wish for some of that darkness to be reflected in the lakes/reservoirs.

That's some fine lighting. I like how you've positioned it along the top 1/3 line and have the snow fields angled through the frame. There's just enough detail in the foreground to keep it interesting. Well done.

I like everything about this, Peter. Dark and yet very beautiful. Just enough detail in the foreground and an amazing sky. :toast:

I think the incongruity of the light on the ponds and the sky is what makes this so appealing for me. I also like the hills. I agree about a crop from the top, but it's persona; taste as to how much.

Nicely done, Peter!

Spectacular light, Peter. Love the feeling of expanse your image imparts. Wouldn't change a thing.
