Before the Storm

Another photo from Iceland I am afraid...

5 Minutes after this was taken a hailstorm was coming down which felt a bit like needles in the face... made me understand the Icelandic proverb of "don't complain about the weather, in 5 minutes it will be worse..."

I was going for a dark mood and a painterly look with the processing.

Nice mood to the scene Karsten and a nice flow to the shoreline. The clouds add a lot to the mood. Nicely done.

Wow, I LOVE that sky. The drama is at its maximum. One of the best skies I have seen here on NPN recently.

Very nice image Karsten. I like the dark and moody feel you have going on here. The details in the larger version look great. Makes me want to go back to Iceland! The proverb really made me laugh...so true!

Kirsten, I love the sweep of the shore line and the details in the large version are very nice. I think you captured all you need for an outstanding image. I like it a lot
