Grand Canyon National Park, South Rim.
Veered off I-40 driving back East from visiting my son in Southern Cal to spend a few hours at the South Rim. Since it was mid-day, I had to make the best of the harsh lighting at the time. Image captured using ETTR. LR5 & CS6 with a touch of Nik.

Hasselblad H4D/50 mpix
Hasselblad 35-90 zoom @ 45mm (DSLR equivalent 24-70)
Circular Polarizer
Gitzo tripod

I'm particularly enjoying the feeling of depth you've achieved here.

The sense of depth is amazing and the high sun really shows off the different colors in the landscape. This looks fine to me.

Real nice, Michael. Very impressive results for the time of day, as this looks quite good. Excellent sense of depth and place, too.

Great scene and well executed, Michael. I really like the patterns of light and dark from the cloud shadows.

Beautiful image Michael. The dappled sunlight really does a good job a keeping my eye moving around the scene. The sky really adds a lot to the image as well. Looks perfect to me.

You handled the harsh light beautifully, Michael. The detail in the large view is wonderful. I like that the river is in view and the detail in the foreground cliffs is phenomenal . Nice detour eh. :wavey:
