I like this clear view of the vireo. Interesting that the bird is really the only color element against the mostly white background.

Very nicely done especially considering you handheld this at 1/200 sec. with a 500. You most certainly are much more steady than I am. :toast:

Sweet image, Sandy. I like the way the far end of the perch disappears, and the vireo is nice and sharp.

Pretty cool looking image. Nice view of the eye. I like the "higher key" background.

Love this one Sandy, nice softness around the bird, which makes it stand out very nicely. Love the subtle colors as well ! Great piece of work  , Hans

Great!
My feeling on this is in alignment with the others....excellent capture, nice BG color, great sharpness on the bird, nice DOF.
I would prefer that the branch not run right next to his beak. Is there a "branch bender" plug-in for PS?
The way that it blurs and fades near his head is good though.

Well...... actually...... yes....... It's not a plug in. Native to Photoshop. Under the Edit menu, "Puppet Warp". Here's a quick version with just the branch nearest the beak "bent" away from the beak. I didn't pull it too far, but if you check out the texture in the original, and on the section of "bent" branch, it is the same. Nope, I did not use clone.

Keith - COOL! Just what was needed!
My manual attempt isn't nearly as good.

Wow! You learn something new every day. I like the branch bender tool  This a sweet photo of this beauty Sandy, I liked the way the branch ran through the composition before, nut like Keith's version a bit more.
