Chaos

One I took recently of a Seagull in the Chesapeake Bay of Virginia, using a combination of a slow shutter speed and deep depth of field. I like how parts of the image are in sharp focus but the overall feel is of movement and chaos. C&C appreciated.

Canon 5d Mark iii, 300mm f/2.8 lens, 1/15 sec at f/32, ISO 100

I like this a lot, Thomas. My only comment is that the whites appear to be blown in a couple of spots which detracts from the neat lines from the motion.

Very cool abstract. Wonderful patterns in the motion, especially in the wings. Not quite as fond of the blur above the head.

Thanks for your comments. I think I agree with you Keith. Initially I liked the comp despite the room above the bird, but I think a tighter crop works better.

I'm diggin' this. The thumbnail caught my eye, and I like it more seeing it bigger. Nice 'different' shot/perspective.

Don't have an opinion on the crop. I might even like a square or more space on the left also. Would have to experiment.

Is the BG open water/waves?

Sweet intense motion you captured Thomas. I do like the re-post a bit better. Excellent Work!
