This gal was so fast, that I could hardly keep up with her. Getting any shot was almost impossible, so I'm happy to have gotten this one! She was quite a gymnast:biggrin:
I think, this is a female, as there was no red on top of her head. Please correct me, if I've misidentified this cute little bird...

Cute little guy. I like the pose also. The downsides are that it is a bit soft, at least in the head area, and there appears to be a greenish cast to the image. The greenish cast is easily corrected. Not sure why the image isn't sharper. Your techs were sufficient for a sharp image. You may have focused on something beside the head. Thanks for sharing.

Probable reason for the sharpness issue.....I took this through a window from inside my house. Unfortunately, these little guys move so fast, that you have to take the photo immediately. If I'd gone outside, she'd be gone. And, I was right, she didn't stay in that tree for long. :frown:

I agree with Jerry on all counts. Given the sharpness of the branch by his tail, I would guess a mid body point of focus and the F 5.6 was not enough to hold the DOF for the head. Bummer on that because the rest looks nice.

Great job getting this one Lucy, I like the pose as she hangs off the branch end :toast:

Thanks Howard for liking the pose and ignoring the "fuzziness". I need to build a "blind" My hiding place is inside the house behind double paned glass! By the time I get outside, the birds have flown! :frown:
