Tangled

Ok, so I know I've posted this in the Wildlife Gallery before, but I felt it just fit this theme so well that I had to do it again!

For those of you who don't know the movie "Tangled", it's a Disney movie that came out in 2012, telling the other side of the story of Rapunzel. Though this image does not show an elk with VERY long hair, I thought it would still fit since their antlers are tangled together  .

Thanks for lookin'! I look forward to hearing what you think! :wavey:

Nikon D300
Nikkor 300mm f/4 IF-ED AF-S lens with a 1.4TC

Very much tells the story, Jenaya. I like the little details like the snow on the antlers, which tells me there was some movement in the battle. I would be very tempted to clone out the furrow and shadow in the snow.

Nice image with the perfect title Jenaya. Nice light with perfect DOF. I also like the crop to make this more impactful.

What a great shot! Reminds me of the tangled moose displayed at LL Bean in Freeport, ME. Exquisite detail in the antlers and eyes.

Funny, they don't look like they're fighting, but I'm sure they are. Great job with a nice tight capture of their heads and antlers. Would have been great fun to watch (and photograph).

Awesome shot, Jenaya! The great lighting really highlights the details of the antlers and heads of the elks. Your tight comp helps focus all attention on the "tangled" interaction between these two magnificent animals. Would have been a fantastic scene to view!

Great choice and an amazing close up of the sparring elk, Jenaya! The large version is like standing right next to them.
