Somebody had to do it.

This of course is a classic from The Narrows, taken in November 2010, which was the last time I was there. I've been focusing ( ) more attention on other areas of the park for the past few years.

Canon 5D II
Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L II

This just jumped off the thumbnail page at me. Stunning Jim :jump:
The 4 sec exposure is longer than I like but worked perfect here. :toast:

Yea, this title is one of the rare titles that I know and I have a shot (posted last fall in M&N) of a woman fly fishing the Yellowstone near Emigrant, MT, where some scenes in the movie were shot. This is a lovely shot with great eye flow created by your positioning of the silky water crossing the rapids. The distant colors in the river, trees and rocks add even more. Very well seen!

Those colors are gorgeous! Perfect shutter speed as far as I'm concerned, no nits for me.

Gorgeous scene, Jim, and very well photographed! I like how the V comp of the stones in the stream seems to point toward the trees with their wonderful splash of yellow/green color and that amazing cliff face. Very fine overall comp. . .a very minor nit may be wishing for just a bit more room above the tip of the tallest trees. Love the mixture of colors, textures, and the fine detail throughout this image. I also like the silky water flow in you created in this image. Well done!

My comments will sound similar to Carolyn's. One of the first things that jumped out to me was the triangle or upside down V composition. Nicely seen....I do also find myself wishing for a tiny bit more of the tree tops, but very minor nit for me. Like the SS you chose on this, Nice image.

If you hadn't I would have, Jim  I have a lot of photos that would fit that title. This one is a nice shot. I love the colors and clarity of the background rocks and brush.

This is gorgeous, Jim. I like the way the triangular shape of the water/rocks leads the eye toward the trees -- and of course the color contrast between the trees and the reddish (?) background.

This is so extraordinarily beautiful. The colors, the long exposure, the composition. Having hiked the Narrows for the first time last fall, I really love this photo.
