One of the rewards to driving through new areas and with no particular place to go or be is you run into the unexpected. North western New Mexico on 84 near Tierra Amarilla and only 20 feet from shoulder of the road.

A nice rock formation, you probably could have used a bit more sun angle here for some definition.
New Mexico is full of weird little treasures…..
The large view shows a bit of noise in the sky, easy to take care of.

I agree with Dan here, great formation, just needs contrast. The sky has nice gradient but the fg is a little flat to me.

This is a beautiful comp with some nice elements in it. I love the sky but I agree that the foreground looks a bit flat.

Very nice find Rick and a nice composition. Sky looks great and I could see darkening the fore ground and adding some contrast. But very nice as is.
