Welcome to NPN, Shane. Lovely first post. Sure doesn't look like the Crater Lake I've seen in the summer. Actually, it does but the color palette is so different. And a lovely one at that. A nice comp and love the colors in the sky and the inky black lake water. Dead calm made for a nice reflective medium. Well done.

Dang nice intro post! I love the color scheme in the water and sky… such harmony! Nice balance left to right with the Wizard Island and the clump of conifers. I wanna see a large version!

Beautiful! This makes me want to take on the perspective of the trees viewing this lovely scene. Great comp work, I really enjoy this image :). Welcome to NPN Shane

This is a very effective composition Shane. I like how the foreground snow leans in from the left, then bounces back up on the right to keep the eye in the frame and cradle the foreground. It also helps to mimic the shape of Wizard Island's reflection. The exposure looks like it's spot on, which is awesome. It's neat how the lake still holds the deep blue tones even during winter with indirect light. I look forward to seeing more of your work here. I'd love to see this in print some day.

Welcome to NPN, Shane! The colors and contrast here are delightful. Excellent first post. As a very minor nit, the snow on the far shore right above the tree tops looks just a touch bright.
