Oregon Junco

We had our first real snow in two winters this past Saturday night, so I got out to the blind Sunday morning to try to get some snowbird images. This was one I liked.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC., Black Widow head mounted to blind window, f7.1, 1/400, iso 800, Av mode with +1/3 compensation. Processed in LR5 & CS6, cropped to 11.8MP and did some cloning in the UR and LL corners to minimize some distracting branches in the UR and a bright clump of snow in the LL. Taken February 9th at 9:07 am.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Lovely pose and wintry setting. Techs are spot-on.

Nice pose in a wintery scene. Exposure looks great to hold detail in the snow and white breast. I do wish for a bit more light in the eye.

Excellent color, details, and exposure Dennis.
Sweet pose and setting, like the faint patterns that come through in your snow BG too.
Top notch :toast: :toast:

I like the texture in the snow -- it makes that head really pop from the GB -- nicely done

I like the coy pose and especially like the hint of foliage in the white bg. Sharon
